This Is The Blues, released by Eagle Records, is a four-CD collection featuring some of the best British musicians and songwriters of all time playing blues classics! Jeff Beck, Vince Converse, Rory Gallagher, Mick Taylor, Gary Moore, Paul Jones, Mick Jagger, former members of Foghat (Lonesome Dave Peverett, Rod Price), Peter Green... The four-disc collection "This Is The Blues" features musicians from the late 60s - early 70s, who have long become classics of British blues rock, performing songs by Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon, T-Bone Walker, Peter Green and John Lee Hooker. The tracks included in the compilation are taken from a series of tribute albums: "Clarksdale to Heaven: Remembering John Lee Hooker", "Knights of the Blues Table". " and "Guitar Rattlesnake: Peter Green's Music"... The collection was produced by Pete Brown. Listening to it, you get the impression that you are at some super star-studded British blues festival!
