Giorgia Todrani, known as Giorgia (born April 26, 1971) is an Italian singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and radio host known for her soulful voice that draws on a wide vocal range and great vocal ability. She is one of the most iconic and famous Italian singers. She has released nine studio albums (by 2013), all of which have had great success with listeners in Italy and abroad. Giorgia has gained wide popularity in Europe, as well as in Canada and Latin America. Her vocal abilities have been compared to Whitney Houston and Mina, calling her "the 4th best voice in the world". She is considered one of the best performers in world music by such famous people as Herbie Hancock, Elton John, Ray Charles, Michael Bublé, Anastacia, Andrea Bocelli, Ricky Fanté, Ronan Keating, and Luciano Pavarotti, and Billboard magazine called her "one of the most famous Italian artists", which could also be successful in the US.
