In a 40-cd box with almost as many hours of music, you get completely unique live recordings from the Swedish music scene in the 70s (as well as a few drips from the years before and after).

Progglådan contains 40 CDs divided into 4 smaller boxes, which are thematically divided. A total of 38 hours of Swedish rock from the golden age of the 70s.

It is Coste Apetrea, the guitarist from the highly regarded art rock band Samla Mammas Manna, who has put together the collection on behalf of SR. A job that has taken a couple of years, and it is absolutely amazing what has been taken up - and taken care of in the archives of NRK’s Swedish sister.

Here’s almost everything you’re hoping for, plus a bunch of surprises, and some new acquaintances, even for a relatively driven Sweden collector as an undersigned.

Progglådan is an almost inexhaustible source of amusement, especially if you already know the bands and songs. Here are events, varieties and spontaneity. Here are also the truly obscure treats, such as the windy but very charming jazz prog band Vildkaktus- and the progressive blues band Nature - featuring Colloseum’s wonderful keyboardist Dave Greenslade - completely unique footage!
