The overwhelming performance is the first SACD! Schuricht's lonely Bruckner, whose godliness and beauty stand out.
SACD hybrid specification board of TWCO-71 released on September 12, 2014 (CD layer is another mastering). Among the many Bruckner recordings, SACD hybridized the 7th transcendent performance of Schuricht & The Hague Philharmonic left on the concert hall label, a masterpiece that shines particularly brightly. With SACD, you can enjoy high-quality sound very close to the master tape. In addition, the CD layer has been newly mastered by DENON genuine equipment from the analog master this time, and you can enjoy a different sound quality from the conventional release board. This CD layer is positioned as an extra to enjoy more music. As a "plus alpha", it is a limited edition that can be enjoyed by those who have a conventional CD. In this 4th release, a total of 4 titles will be released, including one new item in the series. Schuricht's Bruckner No. 7, recorded in 1964, is still known today as the most beautiful performance of this work. From the beginning of the first movement, Schuricht's performance is full of calm elegance, and the theme's magnificent singing style and clear sound resemble the magnificent view of the Alps. The music has few ruberts and progresses crisply, but the fact is that there is an exquisite pace according to the change in ideology, and the scale size and tight modeling are both excellently balanced. The second movement also begins with a deep and quiet appearance, and the music continues to heat up to a wonderful climax reminiscent of Furtwängler. Schuricht's immersion in music will be evident in footsteps that involuntarily rhythm in the first theme of the descent form. The good rhythm of the main part of the 3rd movement and the tremendous uplifting are unique to Schuricht. On the contrary, the amazing softness in the trio forms a stunning contrast. And the final chapter. Weaknesses are often pointed out in comparison to the preceding movements, but Schuricht's performance does not feel that way at all. The interpretation of opening the sound in the first movement is tightened by the preceding movement, and the final movement is used to open the sound at once. The Hague Phil, who can never be said to be a masterpiece, responds to the demands of the master with the highest respect, and in fact, as described by Mitsuoka in this booklet, this performance is actually recorded on a careful rehearsal It was done. It is a great performance that should be counted as one of the historical masterpieces. In addition, it has won the 1965 ACC (Academy Charles Charles Black) disc award. At the time of the CD recurrence in 2014, a new high-resolution master was created from the analog master in Nippon Columbia. It has been carefully digitized (192kHz / 24bit) from an analog master, and further mastering has been applied. The sound quality that was well received at the last CD release was further upgraded in the SACD layer. You can enjoy the vividness and delicate sound of stringed instruments.
