CDs 1-4 are performed by Barthold Kuijken, a master of Flaut Traverso. CD1 is a collection of 18th century German flute concertos. The unique nuances of the transition from baroque to classical style give a depth of performance that cannot be experienced in modern flutes. CDs 2 and 3 are C.P.E. Bach's complete sonatas for Flaut Traverso and Obligato Cembalo. The baroque and rococo melody is completely different from that of his father Bach, and the highlights are the exquisite interaction between the warm woodwind flute made by Glenser and the harpsichord, and the tasteful decoration. Court music of Frederick the Great on CD4. It is widely known that Frederick the Great had a musical taste, and the first-class musicians of the time gathered at the great king's court.
