Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788) was the most famous son of the great Johann Sebastian Bach. C.P.E. Bach was a prolific composer himself, excelling in all known musical genres of his time, except opera. To celebrate the 300th anniversary of his birth, this 30-CD set offers a wealth of his many compositions: symphonies, concertos for diverse instruments, keyboard music, sacred vocal works and chamber music.
