With the power of compositional thought, Pallett moves canvases of sound from one plane to another, just as the wind blows colorful balloons: some soar upward and hover until they disappear completely from view, while others, having collided with something, explode loudly. Yet he doesn't stoop to lazy consumption: there are no ready-made templates in his performance; he himself devises the flying forms and unites them with a central idea. The only disappointing aspect of the performance is that, due to human limitations, one can't admire all the balloons at once—but this is precisely what keeps one coming back again and again.
