Perhaps, in the context of Beethoven's symphonies, the conductor Jordi Savall does not immediately come to mind. However, armed with musical curiosity and the highest professional level, he does not disappoint in this repertoire either. Including invited young musicians in the brilliant ensemble Le Concert des Nations, he presents to our judgment vivid interpretations of the first five symphonies of the classic. In the absence of the other four, these compositions begin to play with new colors: Saval's Beethoven is distinguished by lightness and wit. Best of all, he succeeded with the First and Third, but in general, this album promises us many exciting minutes.
