Cally Kwong obtained the Graduate Gemologist diploma from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) . In 2000, she established her own brand. She was also the adjudicator of several major jewellery design competitions, including The Buyer's Favorite Diamond, Jewellery Design Competition 2000, Asian Facet Award International Jewelry Design, and the 11th and 12th Annual Hong Kong International Jewellery Show Design Competition.
She is the current Director of China Overseas Friendship Association, a member of the CPPCC Jiangxi, the Vice Director of Jiangxi Overseas Friendship Association, the Deputy Director of BLIA World Headquarters Social Charity Committee, a member of Fund-raising Committee of Council of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the President of the Buddha's Light International Association of Hong Kong and the Chairman of Cally K Jewellery Limited.
She was the first-runner up in the Miss Hong Kong pageant in 1982 and later launched a singing career. She recorded over 30 Mandarin and Cantonese classic albums, many of which went platinum. She also holds a Diploma in Calligraphy Education from the City University of Hong Kong. In 2008, she was voted one of the “Top 10 Most Charitable People” in the Province of Jiangxi. She has dedicated herself to education and sponsored various education programmes in Mainland China. She opened a Cally Kwong Activity Centre for Youths in Jiujiang, Jiangxi. She is currently the Honorary Principal of 44 Cally Kwong Schools, Adjunct Professor of Nanqiang University and Jiujiang Vocational University. Prior to A Diamond Life , she has published Cally's Beauty Message , Cally's World View 1 , and Cally's World View 2 .
