The young pianist Daniil Trifonov makes his debut in the Berlin Philharmonic diverse and imposing. At first he was enthusiastic about a fire-like touch-tone: the "overture" by Dimitri Kabalewsky. With the "Piano Concerto No. 3" by Rachmaninov, which is regarded as the most difficult piano piece of all time, the young pianist would like to convince the audience of the Berlin Philharmonic. In the second part of the second part are extracts from William Walton's "Façade", composed by Sir Simon Rattle, as well as a performance by Antonín Dvorák's "Slavic Dances". Celebrate with the Berlin Philharmonic, Sir Simon Rattle and the young star pianist Daniil Trifonov the glamorous end of the year in the New Year's Eve Gala 2016.
