Decca presents the third in a trilogy of Solti releases which compliments the Solti/Chicago & Solti/London boxed sets. Solti (in) Europe. 45 CDs + 2 DVDs from his very first recording on Decca (as a pianist in 1947) to his last studio album made three months before his death (which were his very first recordings made in his native Hungary with Hungarian musicians).

This new limited edition "Solti in Europe" album is an important testimony of Master Solti's lifelong struggle and conveys his philosophy: music as a mission for world understanding and a symbol of international unity. a symbol for international unification). The repertoire includes his first recording with Decca as a pianist in 1947, up to the last studio album produced within three months before his death. The repertoire includes Bartók's "Secular Oratorio", Gao Dayi's "Hungary" Hymn". Schotti's first conducting recording in 1947 was Beethoven's "Egmont Overture" with the Zurich Town Hall Orchestra, and his last live performance recording in 1997 was Mahler's "Symphony No. 5" with the same orchestra. Therefore, the album also includes recordings and videos of the performance of the World Peace Orchestra conducted by the master at the 50th anniversary concert of the United Nations.
